What we do

Transitional Housing (Active)

Te Hinaki Hapu provides safe, secure, and culturally supportive housing for individuals and whānau experiencing housing instability. A home of hope while you find your feet.

  • Short to medium-term housing
  • Safe and supportive environments
  • Daily structure and accountability

Whakaruruhau Skills Hub (Active)

We create opportunities for people to move forward into training, employment, and long-term independence.

  • Trade and skills training
  • Work readiness support
  • Pathways into employment
  • Partnership with BCITO supporting industry-aligned training

Recovery & Wellbeing (In Development)

This programme is designed for individuals who:

  • Have completed a residential or clinical treatment programme
  • Are in early recovery and require ongoing structured support
  • Are committed to long-term abstinence from drugs and alcohol
  • Need a stable, supportive environment to transition back into everyday life

We have supported:

  • 71 whānau into sustainable housing
  • 152 individuals advocacy

We are currently recruiting students for our 10-week course, commencing 20th April 2026. 

This programme is currently in the developmental phase.
